LGBTQ+ Cafe
Disability Sheffield and Sheffield voices have launched a new social cafe for members of the LGBTQ+ community who also identify as being autistic, nerodiverse or disabled.
We meet alternative weeks on Thursday afternoons online and in person.
Our online meet ups are on Zoom 3-4pm
Our in person meet ups are held at different coffee shops around sheffield- 3-5pm.
This is a social cafe, where we meet to chat about similar things we like and issues that effect us. We've previously had guest speakers, including talks and presentations on a range of topics, from personal accounts of being on the Asexual spectrum, transitioning, and some invitations have been sent to services like having someone from the police coming to talk on their different policies and training they have.
We have recently held a mini pride event online, geared to people who haven't been to a pride event before or are unsure about attending one in person.
Please contact Kelly.Scargill@disabilitysheffield.org.uk for more information and to be added to our weekly mailing list around what we're doing and other local events.
