We are seeking a to appoint up to three new trustees to our Board

As a Disabled People’s User-Led Organisation (DPULO) we are very keen to hear from disabled applicants in particular.

LGBTQ+ and ethnically diverse communities are also currently under-represented on our board, similarly younger people, which we are also hoping to redress.

Whilst people of all professional, voluntary and lived experience backgrounds are very welcome to apply, we are particularly looking to add knowledge and experience in the following areas to the boards current make-up;

Community engagement, advocacy, empowerment or co-production
Human resources
Local government / statutory sector policy and / or politics
If you share our passion and beliefs, we’d love to hear from you.

This role will require a basic DBS check.

If you would like to apply to become one of our new Trustees then please read the Board Member’s Cover Letter, which can be downloaded below, and using the lists of Essential and Desirable Requirements detailed in our Role and Responsibilities of Board Members document, please tell us in a brief Bio, how you meet some or all of these requirements. In addition to the Bio, you can also attach an optional CV if you wish.

Closing Date: 12:00 noon, 31st July

Please send all applications and associated CVs to: Stephen.bonner@disabilitysheffield.org.uk

If you have any questions, need support with filling out the application form or would like an informal chat about the post please email Stephen.bonner@disabilitysheffield.org.uk

Disability Sheffield has a policy of shortlisting and interviewing all disabled applicants who meet the minimum requirements for their jobs. The law will allow this. It would not be unlawful discrimination against a non-disabled applicant who also meets
